While Charlotte Dos Santos spent her life in four different countries over three years, her debut project "Cleo"took shape ending up functioning as a diary for the Norwegian Brazilian composer, producer and vocalist. The metamorphosis of womanhood, falling in and out of love, betrayal, self realization and the passion for uplifting female musicians of color are all subjects of the restless musicians 10 track EP - Named "Album of The Year" by Norway's Dagsavisen 6.7.2017 “Best Medieval Soul all year” (NYmag 22.6.20017) her undefinable sound has been compared to Amy Winehouse, Erykah Badu and Kate Bush, but to Charlotte her sound is nothing but a representation of her mixed background and influences.

Charlotte fronted Norway legendary JazzNytt September issue 2017 and was this year nominated for the Norwegian Grammy equivalent Spellemannsprisen as Newcomer of the Year.

Cleo is a kingdom ruler, a queen, an empress of no boundaries or limits. A fearless, divine entity who was channeled into a character here to uplift, empower and motivate, to represent other women of color and function as a role model. Cleo is my imagination and my reality, the women who inspired me throughout my life- she is myself, my family, my roots, my soul and whom I will always aspire to be.
